2009 KCA Conference

The Kentucky Counseling Association, the largest organization of professional counselors in the commonwealth of Kentucky, will hold it's annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky on October 21-23, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (Formerly the Executive West). There will likely be over 800 professional school, mental health, career and other counselors attending. Professional Development sessions will be held on October 20-21 Tuesday - Wednesday, from 9:00am-4:00pm. Both NCE continuing education credit and Kentucky Department of Education EILA credit can be earned at the PD workshops. Six hours of EILA credit will be awarded for attending the Conference.

There will be one 12 hour workshop offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 six hour workshops offered on Wednesday and 2 three hour workshops offered on both Wednesday morning and afternoon.

The Opening Session of the conference will begin at 7:00pm and will feature Ms. Doris Settles talking about The Facts of the Digital Life.  Speaking about Looking at the Past and Reaching for the Future at the General Session on Thursday will be Dr. Lynn E. Lynde, ACA President. There will be very good variety of interest sessions available all day Thursday and Friday morning. The conference will close on Friday morning with a great brunch and a presentation by the Laugh Doctor Dr.  Clifford C. Kuhn.
